Q. Why is My Status % Incorrect?

Created by Mike Johnson, Modified on Mon, May 5 at 1:49 PM by Mike Johnson

  • If the Status % (completion percentage) on your DMM Tracker seems incorrect or lower than expected, there are two primary causes. Please follow the steps below before submitting a support ticket.

1. Check for Changes to the Template’s Key Fields

Ask yourself or your team or Salesforce Admin:

Has the DMM Template recently been updated — specifically, have any key fields been added or removed from a milestone?

Why this matters:
Each milestone’s completion percentage is based on the number of key fields it contains. If a field was removed but the system still expects it, the calculation may be off.

What to do:

  1. Check with the original template creator or your Salesforce Admin to confirm whether changes were made to key fields in the milestone.

    • Go to the "DMM Template Start Page", find your template, then click on the corresponding "View" button, then confirm the # of key fields associated with the milestone status % that appears to be off.

If you have access, review the key fields directly by navigating to the DMM Template and viewing the related Milestone Key Fields.

A separate article with step-by-step instructions and screenshots will be provided for guidance.

2. Confirm Field-Level Visibility

Sometimes a key field exists, but your user profile doesn’t have access to view it — making it seem like a field is “missing,” which can lower the Status %.

What to do:

  • Identify the specific field that appears to be excluded from the milestone calculation.

  • Ask your admin to verify that your profile (or permission set) has field-level visibility:

    • Go to:
      Setup > Object Manager > [Parent Object] > Fields & Relationships > [Field Name] > Field-Level Security

    • Ensure the “Visible” checkbox is selected for your user profile.

Still Not Resolved? Submit a Support Ticket

  4. Set “appSavvy group support” to 1 week.

  5. Click Save.

B. Provide Context for the Issue
Include the following in your support request:

  • A direct link to the related record where the issue is happening.
